Lucy has been defending workers' compensation claims on behalf of employers and insurers for over 25 years. After beginning her career in Texas, she returned home to St. Louis where she proudly practiced law with her father. At Frank J. Lahey, Jr., PC, Lucy represented employers, insurers, self-insureds, third-party administrators, and small, uninsured businesses in all aspects of workers' compensation cases from initial claim investigation and discovery through mediation and hearings, and if necessary, appeals to the Labor and Industrial Relations Commission and Missouri Court of Appeals. Prior to joining Simon Law Group, Lucy practiced at several other worker's compensation insurance defense firms. She is particularly skilled in trial advocacy and complex medical depositions of expert witnesses.
Lucy graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science from Texas Christian University and earned her Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University School of Law, where she was a student instructor for moot court and trial advocacy for first year students. Lucy is a member of the Missouri Bar, the Texas Bar, and the American Bar Association. She is also a member of the Worker's Compensation Committee of the Missouri Bar, and the Missouri Self Insurers Association. Lucy served as the legal advisor to the St. Louis Beatles Fan Club, a non-profit organization.
In her spare time, Lucy enjoys hiking, spending time with family, and participating in local book clubs and writing workshops. She is also an avid fan of all sports and teams, most passionately the Redbirds. She has collected thousands of baseball cards, with a concentration of St. Louis Cardinal players from 1960 to the present.
