Leslie served as the Chief Administrative Law Judge for the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, Division of Workers’ Compensation, St. Charles Division. She started in 1988 as a Legal Advisor mediating issues at conference settings until her promotion to Chief Administrative Law Judge in 1991. As Chief, Leslie held hearings, pre-hearings, wrote awards, mediated settlements and performed all administrative duties.

Leslie received her B.A. from Harvard University and earned her J.D. from University of Missouri-Columbia where she also served as Writing Director for the Board of Advocates. She taught a business course –Workers’ Compensation in Missouri, at St. Louis Community College for a number of years. She is licensed in both Missouri and Illinois and was in private practice in the areas of domestic, criminal and workers’ compensation law.

Leslie is a member of the Missouri Bar, serving on the Legislative Committee. She is a founding member of Kids’ Chance, Inc. of Missouri. She is a frequent speaker for the Missouri Self Insurers’ Association, Associated Industries, University of Missouri Continuing Legal Education Program, and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis. Leslie also is a member of the Harvard Alumni Association, working as a local interviewer for Harvard applicants. She is also a singing member of The Courthouse Steps.
