
Katie has been defending workers' compensation claims on behalf of employers and insurers for over ten years. Her practice includes defending workers' compensation claims in Missouri. She is responsible for all aspects of trial preparation including drafting appropriate responses to claims, file analysis, investigation, depositions, and medical and legal research. In January 2018 she became a principal in the firm.
Katie was born and raised in St. Louis. As a graduate student, she worked full time and served as an intern at the Juvenile Division of the St. Louis City Family Court. While in law school, Katie served as an editor of the St. Louis University Law Journal and an intern for the Missouri State Public Defender and the St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office. She also studied abroad in Madrid, Spain while in law school.
Katie is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, the Missouri Self-Insurers' Association, the American Bar Association, the National Workers' Compensation Defense Network and the Women's Business Enterprise National Council. She is also certified as a Woman Owned Business Enterprise State of Missouri City of Saint Louis.
In her time away from the office, Katie enjoys travelling, cooking and spending time with friends and family, especially her husband, daughter, and their black lab. As an avid Cardinals and Blues fan, she also looks forward to the start of each baseball and hockey season.
