Joye concentrates her practice in the area of workers' compensation, defending employers and insurers throughout the state of Missouri. She has handled all phases of litigation, from negotiating settlements, through appeals to the Labor and Industrial Relations Commission and the Court of Appeals.
Joye was born and raised in the St. Louis area and received her J.D. from St. Louis University School of Law in 2004. She graduated in 2001 from Webster University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 2004.
While in law school, Joye served as an editor for the St. Louis University School of Law Public Law Review. She received the 2003-2004 Leo C. Brown Award for excellence in promoting Employment Law Issues. She also previously served as a judicial law clerk extern for the Honorable Gerald B. Cohn, S.D. IL and completed an internship at the St. Louis University General Counsel’s Office.
She is a member of the Missouri Bar Association-Workers’ Compensation Law Committee, Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis-Workers’ Compensation Committee and the Missouri Self-Insurers’ Association.
Joye enjoys spending time with her husband and children. Her hobbies include attending her children’s soccer and baseball games and renovating her 100 year old house.
